
Prior to launching his own agency, Stuart worked for 12 years as a Literary Agent at Metrostar, representing authors, brands and TV production companies. Before that he spent 20 years as a Commissioning Editor and Editorial Director at a variety of highly regarded non-fiction publishers including Conran Octopus, Cassell, Pavilion, Aurum Press and BBC Books.
As both an agent and an editor, Stuart has worked on high-profile, best-selling titles with leading writers, TV personalities and influencers, including David Attenborough, Alan Sugar, Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh and Terence Conran. He has handled numerous tie-in books for TV series including The Great British Bake Off, The Great British Sewing Bee, Call the Midwife, Doctor Who, Top Gear, The Thick of It and Dad’s Army. Stuart has considerable experience of editing and agenting books for charities and organisations, including the Royal Horticultural Society and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.
